Music Monday

It's Music Monday time! Here's this week's interpretation of the song 'Good Life' by Inner City. I saw a really good documentary the other day called 'How Clubbing Changed The World', and this song was on it and I remembered how cool it is.

This week I have mainly been frittering around figuring out map stuff and researching everything. I'm also on a mission trying to make myself like olives, so I can feel like a real adult. I also missed Carnival, which sucks, but it has been raining like a bitch so whatever.

Very Special Music Monday

Heyyyyaaa. So this is the first Music Monday in MONTHS, so I've decided to make it a bit special and announce something that I'm going to be doing.

If you are really smart, you can probably guess from the image above that I will be once again working with Evermade to create a NEW YORK MAP! It's all so exciting, and I'm not going to say much else about it other than wish me luck, it's gonna be another solid few months of drawing. Also if you live in New York, get in touch!

Spitting Distance and Hackney House

Happy Saturday everyone. Just thought I'd go on about some more drawing that I've been doing. I was recently commissioned by Mother London to create a map illustration for a publication that they were producing for Hackney House. Over the Olympic period Hackney House were holding lots of creative events to show East London's art scene off, and Spitting Distance was created to highlight the people that make East London's community so special.

Here's some more photos, I'm really pleased with how it was all put together and it was a pleasure to work on. Enjoy the sun!

Evermade.com recently did a lifestyle shoot of my hand-drawn map of London, and I thought I'd show you some of the photos. If you want to buy one, go here. That is all.

Wrap Magazine, The Olympics and Other Stuff.

Hi everyone, apologies for being so quiet on here recently and for the lack of Music Monday posts, I've been very busy recently! I PROMISE I will get organised soon and post a whole bunch of them. Anyway, here's some stuff that I've been doing. Here's some work that I did for this month's issue of Wrap Magazine. The theme was 'human endeavours' so I chose to explore London's streets. My sketchbook is below.

I was also asked by B-Side festival in Weymouth to contribute to their zine that would be distributed during the festival. For this I decided to collaborate with writer (and messy flatmate) Jack Manuel and we came up with some Olympic events that could transfer to everyday life.

Finally, I was interviewed by Peculiar Bliss magazine about humour in illustration and some other stuff. You can go and read the full interview HERE.

I will post some more stuff soon, lots of things going on at the moment, and thanks everyone for supporting me and being amazing! x
