Hand-drawn Map of London

HELLO. So the reason there's been very little going on here on my blog for a while is that I've been working constantly to finish this map of London! I've finally finished it after two months of endurance drawing and I'm very pleased to show you the results. The map was commissioned by Harry Hayes at Evermade.com who wanted to create a map of London that was different to the usual tourist stuff and gave a sort of true reflection of the city in all its historic, busy and eccentric glory.

Despite almost crippling my hand and going boss-eyed, I absolutely LOVED this project. When I first started out I knew hardly anything about London, and the hours of researching and exploring the city would probably qualify me to be a tour guide now! It was an honour to be given this challenge, and I'd like to say thanks to Harry and Evermade.com for commissioning me to do it.

p.s. this map is for sale in A1 (as above) and A2 sizes - so if you want to help pay for my eye surgery, then you can buy it HERE.

Music Monday

Happy Bank Holiday Monday you! I'm going to be spending mine doing what I always do, listening to music and drawing and drinking instant coffee and PARTY ROCKIN', MAN!

So this week I have illustrated one of my fave songs, 'Lisztomania' by Phoenix. It's from the album Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix and I think I partly bought it for the amazing album artwork by Jody Barton.

Saying that, I was well happy once I'd actually started listening to it, because it is an AMAZING album. You should listen to it. It's nice for your ears.
