HELLO. So the reason there's been very little going on here on my blog for a while is that I've been working constantly to finish this map of London! I've finally finished it after two months of endurance drawing and I'm very pleased to show you the results. The map was commissioned by Harry Hayes at Evermade.com who wanted to create a map of London that was different to the usual tourist stuff and gave a sort of true reflection of the city in all its historic, busy and eccentric glory.
Despite almost crippling my hand and going boss-eyed, I absolutely LOVED this project. When I first started out I knew hardly anything about London, and the hours of researching and exploring the city would probably qualify me to be a tour guide now! It was an honour to be given this challenge, and I'd like to say thanks to Harry and Evermade.com for commissioning me to do it.
p.s. this map is for sale in A1 (as above) and A2 sizes - so if you want to help pay for my eye surgery, then you can buy it HERE.

Amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous!! It's an enormous endeavor too, I'm amazed!
ReplyDeleteWoah, it's incredible.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteWell done Jenni! Was such good fun working with you :) Looking forward to working on more projects too!
ReplyDeleteReally really wonderful!
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled across your blog via Pinterest, and I think this print is incredible...I also think I need one! xxx
ReplyDeletewow *__*
ReplyDeleteThat is simply fantastic. I've loved drawings with a ton of detail in for years. There used to be a series of humorous posters you could get from shops like Athena that had, say, an Olympics theme with scores of visual jokes in them.
ReplyDeleteThis map brings that kind of detail and humour into a useful form. I'm going to have to look at your other work and see if I can convince the Mrs to let me hang some on the office wall!
WOW!
ReplyDeleteWhat tools did you use to draw it?
This is amazing! What a fantastic idea - and I can't believe it only took you two months! I wish we had enough space for the A1 size :)
ReplyDeleteDamn thats impressive
ReplyDeleteAMAZING! - On my pay day wish list :-D
ReplyDeleteLove it!
ReplyDeleteSo Cool!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteWould never dream of spending the price of this on art usually, but this looks well worth it so my order is just going in!
Any thoughts on doing a similar piece for any other cities?
New York, Sydney or Tokyo would be my first requests ;-)
Hey, thanks so much! :) And let's just say watch this space.........
